Veils and Doors | A Poem

Who is the greater
Of the worlds imitators?
Would you realise if you listened?
Is your heart lost long ago?

Jabberjay or Havensbee,
Round shiny one or Snow,
Are you smarter than perceived
Or did you never know?

That feeling when the veil flew up,
Security or more distrust?
The colours dark or meadow green?
Don't catch fire now, little duck

Could you save them? Move or wait?
Boiling with confusing hate
Time is never friend of yours
But one-day there'll be burning doors
